Interval does not replace your primary care physician (PCP). Instead, it enhances and complements your care by focusing on data-driven risk assessment, early detection and preventions of conditions, instead of waiting till problems appear.

After you gain a complete map of your health and potential looming risks, Interval will help synthesize all of your test results and health data into a simple and actionable roadmap to increase your health span.

Dr Kim will provide continuous, high touch and concierge level feedback to help you unlock your maximum health potential.

Yes, absolutely. As a patient, you get direct access to Dr Kim through messaging, text, as well as Dr Kim’s personal cell phone.

The 6 month program fee includes the medical care provided directly by Dr Kim. This includes your initial comprehensive evaluation (up to 90 minutes), as well as 5 scheduled follow-ups (up to 30 minutes), AND ongoing consultation in-between visits, and direct messaging access. This continuous access allows for you to receive individualized and concierge-level guidance, real-time review of data, and updated strategies as needed.

The program fee does NOT include any testing or services outside of our program. If we decide that laboratory testing, advanced imaging, or specialty diagnostics would be helpful, those tests are NOT included in the program fee and they are billed separately by the laboratories or imaging centers that perform them (ex. blood tests, whole body MRI, CT Angiogram, liquid biopsy, genetic testing, DEXA scan, VO2 max, or any other third-party diagnostic or treatment services).

These tests are optional and are ordered based on your goals and medical needs. Pricing and billing for these services are set by the facilities/companies performing them, and you may be able to use your insurance depending on your plan.

Of note, Dr Kim has partnerships with many of these companies and is able to arrange a discounted price for some of these tests (ex.Prenuvo Whole Body MRI), but that is not guaranteed.

As advanced as our medical treatments and technology have gotten, our current healthcare system is still woefully inadequate to prevent chronic disease that will shorten our lifespan and will markedly lower our health span, especially during the last decade of our lives. This is where Interval harnesses the Medicine 3.0 approach that will help identify risk early, a risk that is not captured by the traditional medical system, including cardiovascular disease, metabolic dysfunction, neurodegenerative disease (like dementia), and many cancers. Routine checkups typically just involve very basic blood work and physical exams that do not provide the level of detail necessary to detect early health risks before they become a bigger issue. And once those risks are identified, Interval will provide latest evidence-based treatment that is grounded in precision medicine, tailored specifically for every individual, based on their unique set of health risks, physiology, genetic profile, and life goals.

Interval is designed for adults (18 and older) at all life stages. Many of the chronic conditions start developing in your 20s and the approach for proper risk assessment varies greatly depending on your age, personal and family medical history, and life goals. It’s much easier to reverse conditions early rather than try to reverse them once the disease has set in.

Interval Medical’s 6 month program operates on a cash-based model. This model allows for a higher level of care than traditional insurance structures can support. It gives us the opportunity to have longer visits, unlimited direct access between appointments, and a more comprehensive approach to prevention and chronic disease. This also allows us to create personalized plans that fall outside of insurance-driven time limits and billing rules.

However you can still use your insurance for lab testing, imaging testing, and specialist visits if your plan allows it. Some patients choose to submit their receipts to their insurance HSA/FSA for possible reimbursement, but Interval does not guarantee whether they will accept it.
